The end goal of analytics is to be able to make data-driven decisions — sooner rather than later. Of course, it is better to be proactive to address possible problems before they become major issues rather than reactive / after the fact. What if you could have analytics alerts pushed to you when a change in the data might indicate a potential problem?
Qlik Sense Cloud now comes with a powerful alerting feature that can check for data conditions you set on a pre-defined schedule, e.g., when data is reloaded, once a day, week, month, etc. It can use the selections you’ve chosen to narrow down the data of interest – e.g., below, I want to get an alert when sales for certain stores in Texas for $5, $10, and $15 product prices decrease by 20% from the last time the data was evaluated.
The image to the right shows the first page when setting up an alert. The image below shows how the conditions for firing the alert would be triggered. You can add multiple and/or conditions for very flexible and finely tuned alerting!

Next, you set when the alert should be evaluated by an app reload or on a fixed time schedule, and you can identify other users (who must have access to the underlying app) who should receive the alert email.

Microsoft Word – Holy Grail of Analytics.docx
With the rapid pace of business these days, it’s no longer enough to be able to have access to reports/analytics on demand – alerts need to be used to be able to proactively respond to potential problems before they become issues. Qlik provides powerful alerting capabilities modern businesses need.
